The Liberals say they have nothing to do with an Anonymous email condemning the NDP, despite a staffer’s links to the online activist group.
An email purporting to be from the Halifax wing of the loosely organized group accuses the New Democrats of using online dirty tricks.
“You are using what are undeniably information and cyberwarfare tactics against the people of Nova Scotia and the denizens of the Internet,” it says.
The email accuses the NDP of trying to shut down opposition Twitter accounts, widespread “trolling” and spreading disinformation, as well as setting up 250 automated Twitter accounts known as bots in government offices.
