Gown time ... Kate and Queen view exhibition
THE Queen is left spooked yesterday by a headless figure wearing Kate's wedding dress.
Her Maj was so unsettled she branded the Buckingham Palace exhibit "creepy" as she viewed it with the Duchess of Cambridge.
The glowing ballroom display features Kate's tiara and veil floating eerily over a faceless mannequin.
The Queen warily approached the scene with Kate, then raised her voice to proclaim it "horrible" and "horrid".
Ghostly ... floating veil
She added: "It's made to look very creepy."
Kate admitted: "It's a bit surreal. I expect to see my face on it."
The Royals - looking relaxed in each other's company - also viewed Kate and Wills's cake.
The bottom tier, eaten at the bash, has been re-created for the exhibition that opens tomorrow.
As the Queen looked at it she jokingly asked: "We did eat this?"
