Is there going to be a running list of who is already nominated to avoid duplication?

It's a good point - I have a short list of people I think would like to see on the list; I wouldn't want to 'waste' my only nomination on someone who's already there.

RE: Nominating Board Memb

I agree. I can think of a bunch of people I'd like to nominate, but I don't want to nominate them if they are already there.

Probably from before you were born, mommsy:

"There's something happening here - What it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there, a-telling me I got to beware.

I think it's time we STOP, children,
what's that sound?
Ever'body look what's going down...

There's bad lines being drawn - Nobody's right if everybody's wrong.
Young people speaking their minds, an' gettin' SO much resistance, from behind...

I think it's time we STOP, children,
what's that sound?
Ever'body look what's going down...

Paranoia strikes deep! Into your life it will creep -
Starts when you're always afraid - step out of line, the Man come and take you away.

I think it's time we STOP, children,
what's that sound?
Ever'body look what's going down...

Buffalo Springfield, circa '66 or '67....

Can I watch?

OH, I AM SORRY! - I TAKE THAT BACK, WITH A THOUSAND APOLOGIES!

PLEASE don't beat me..... PLEASE?

All kidding aside, Zen - by '69 Steve Stills was already the "S" in C, S, and N - that's when "Suite Judy Blue-eyes" and "Marakesh Express" came out.
("C"rosby, of course, from the Byrds, and "N"ash from the Hollies) Neil Young was yet to join the group... that was with their SECOND album.... ***

Richie Furay, another of the original Springfields, had gone on to form his own group, which lasted about as long as the Pet Rock fad, a few years later. Don't know about the rest of the guys.

*** huh?
Oh, sorry! "Albums" were large (11" or so) FLAT discs of a special PLASTIC, into which was etched millions of tiny "jiggles", that would make the "needle", and "cartridge" that was ATTACHED to the needle, make minute vibrations, up a "Tone-Arm", connected to the "Amplifier"... An "Amplifier" would then take those tiny signals and make them ready to power various Wood-encased speakers that were sometimes the size of a "Knight in Shining Armor".

Much of this had almost nothing to do with being an "Audio-phile", a Lover of fine electronic audio systems. Rather, it had more to do with impressing the Be-Jeezus out of the girl you bought 5 drinks for at the Bar around the corner. "The Bigger, The Better" was the reigning Theory, at the time. Kinda like Plymouth Road-Runners.....

It was kinda like showing up in a big bloated Thunderbird of the time - impressive for a few minutes, until the Guy opened his yap.

(research:)
"What's Your Sign?"
"Have You Been Coming Here For Long?" (VERY effective, when accompanied by a wink)
"Do you like my Gold Necklace? I saw one almost like it, on Mr T last week!"
"Oh, I'd LOVE to dance - REALLY! But I twisted my knee jogging the other day."

Also the introduction of many famous Cultural Acmes, as in Ron Popeil's Pocket Fisherman, his "Veg-a-Matic", "Dry-Shampoo" and the Vega 2-door .
