So Sask, Ont and NS sell cold beer for the same price. In BC near 100 mile House also. In the USA they sell cold beer everywhere. In Japan they sell cold beer in vending machines on the street. I think most of the world, when they sell beer, its cold. That's how you're generally supposed to drink it.
I estimate that the BCGEU union in BC govt liquor stores will disappear in 5-10 years as privatisation moves forward from the distribution warehouses. To me, the issue of privatisation vanishes once the cheapest cold beer is available in govt liquor stores, then beer and wine stores-who charge more, aren't necessary. BC govt liquor stores, because they aren't selling beer like it should be sold, are redundant in this key area. It's a big picture think unions and their members have difficulty comprehending. It goes beyond contracts.
