I've noticed that some threads are waaaaay too wide for my screen while others fit nicely. Don't know enough about how the site is set up but figure it has something to do with the width command in the html???

Anyway, it's a pain scrolling back and forth and since I'm past 40 I can't do the smaller screen size anymore. Ya ya ... no old jokes. Any suggestions?

The pages get stretched when someone posts a too-big picture or a too-long URL. The picture should be resized or a smaller one posted instead. If a URL is too long, the poster can highlight it, click the URL button in the reply window (the full one) and rename it. For example...

I can post this URL...

http://www.ladyjayes.com/oldwoman.html

which looks like this...

(url)http://www.ladyjayes.com/oldwoman.html(/url)
(I changed the brackets for illustration)

I can also cut the bracket after url and insert an =, then paste it (the bracket) after html, then insert a title that will show in my post, like this...

(url=http://www.ladyjayes.com/oldwoman.html)I Shall Wear Purple(/url)

In my post it will look like this...

I Shall Wear Purple

If the original URL is really long the shorter phrase you choose won't stretch the page.
And it looks cool, too.

Yes, Cosmo, I chose the poem especially for you. 8)

Love that poem ... I actually haven't got past the 13-years-old wearing purple stage yet, tho! ;) "You're only young once but you can be immature forever!"

Well, Lady C, sounds good in theory but even this thread requires me to scroll horizontally and nothing seems too long. Huh.
