I had my external 2TB Western Digital hard drive dropped the other day and now it's making very loud ticking noises. I have read a lot of forums online and it looks like the services are not cheap. Can some one suggest a good reputable company or maybe some one has had similar experience before? Some feedback would be gladly appreciated.

I don't work with a data recovery company at the moment because in our company we do all IT stuff by ourselves. So I'd like to suggest you back up your database before losing everything next time. Here is how. You can carry out the data backup with some software listed in the article. I would say it's best to prepare for the worst case.
