Yes, it's an interesting case! Seemingly well balanced humans often have 'quirks' that defy their persona's. I know a man, a former General Manager, who, to all intents and purposes was extremely capable and knowledgeable within his career abilities, and destined for higher posts; but, lost it all when his marriage broke up. He continuously stalked his ex wife, and was up in court far too often for his superiors to overlook the 'uncharacteristic traits' to his behaviour, hitherto unpercieved by them. So sad... I hasten to add that he had not, to my knowledge, made an attempt on his ex wife's life!
