Claresholm Police have cordoned off a large stretch of the highway running through Claresholm, south of Calgary, as they investigate multiple deaths, officials say.
The RCMP major crimes unit is leading the investigation at the “highly suspicious” scene on Thursday morning, said RCMP Sgt. Patrick Webb.
Highway 2 is closed for approximately four kilometres north and south of the town 125 kilometres south of Calgary.

Not much out there on this yet.

CTV has added that two vehicles were found and are not confirming how many bodies, but are treating it as a homocide.

CALGARY — The RCMP have closed a lengthy stretch of Highway 2 south of Calgary while they investigate what they are calling a "serious incident" involving multiple deaths.

RCMP are saying little about the incident, which involves more than two victims.

"We're investigating it as a murder," said RCMP spokesman Sgt. Patrick Webb. "It's highly suspicious."

The affected stretch of Highway 2 runs for four kilometres north and south of the town of Claresholm, about 100 kilometres south of Calgary.

Police are diverting traffic around the scene.

Not much out there on this yet.

That is so tragic. Those poor families. What a horrifying thing to have happen.

It is tragic and sad that a man is so tied up with jealousy that his only answer is to kill.
