I am moving to Vancouver from Winnipeg. Need help! I don't know Vancouver very well, just wondering about good areas to live in. I am attending school in West Vancouver but I have heard it's expensive to live there. Downtown or to the west end seem like the best options?

If you're a student and on the north shore, you should look at North Vancouver. Its cheaper. Its not as much fun, but you should be able to find something you can afford if you are renting. Plus, I think public transit is better from North Van if you don't have to across the Lions Gate Bridge. But its been awhile since I lived in God's Chosen City, so maybe its changed.
