OR take it to the limits....

Seriously,Ms K., doesn't your heart just flutter wildy at the very thought of seven longing lil gaffers at the foot of your bed inthe morning?
talk about 'living the dream..."

honestly muffin, I have no issue with polygamy and polyandry being legal. The only issue I have is with seven pubescent males lined up at my bed every morning. I'd prefer adults.

Sure does. If anything, polyandry makes more sense than polygyny. Though I know several people, many of whom are women, who approve of polygyny.

Esp. with their rich handsome step grandsons...

Germaine moved from Aragon to Castile to join his court as well, where the 17-year-old king took well to his 29-year-old stepgrandmother. He organized several tournaments and banquets in her honor. A year or thereabouts later, Germaine gave birth to a daughter, Isabel. It is widely speculated among historians that Charles was Isabel's father; Germaine refers to her in her will as the "Infanta Isabel"—a title that only makes sense if her father was the King.[2][3]

I wasnt aware that they did. You can prevent close relatives from getting married but there is no way to stop them from having sex or living with multiple partners. Incest is also not limited to just Mormons. Though rare, it happens pretty much everywhere.

Probably better suited to our nature anyway. We arent naturally monogamous.

I'm a compromiser ...

My problem is not the number of wives. I don't like the age of young girls bordering
on children married off to old men. Also the lack of rights for women in those colonies.
If everyone is of equal consent and aware of their rights I suppose if gay marriage is ok
then perhaps the issue should be revisited.

it should because many of them do not live in the compounds, this is a separate issue and should be addressed as such

This may be a fine line, but I think the idea of monogamy is getting used in place of partnering for life, at least how I'm seeing it. Because I do think it is very much in the nature of the human animal to bond strongly to individuals and thus be monogamous. I don't think we're, by nature, necessarily built to only have one partner throughout life. Some can and do, certainly, but it's not naturally that way for all of us. So I would say that we are indeed built to be monogamous, we just aren't necessarily built to have one life partner.
That sort of describes what I meant by "monogamish". Monogamy is only natural in a small proportion of the race. Monogamish is the most common state (as opposed to trait).
