Those pastel suits are making a comeback.
NBC is planning a reboot of ‘80s series Miami Vice according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The revamp will be developed by Vin Diesel and Fast and Furious scribe Chris Morgan.
Diesel apparently hatched the plan to revive Miami Vice and made a "personal appeal" to NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke.
Executive produced by Michael Mann, Miami Vice ran for five seasons on NBC from 1984-1989, with Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas as undercover police officers James "Sonny" Crockett and Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs.
The show was turned into a 2006 feature film with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx in leading roles.
Miami Vice on the small screen will follow last year’s Lethal Weapon – which reimagined the 1980s Mel Gibson-Danny Glover film for TV.
So everything old is new again.
