Lost my audio including the "green speaker " in a right bottom corner of the screen ; probably deleted something .Is there a way to get the sound back?

Go to control panel-device manager. Look for anything with a "?" or an "x". If you see a device with an 'x", right click on it and choose enable. If you see a device with a "?", right click and choose "update driver" (note: you will need the driver disk for your laptop). Once the driver updates, reboot the pc and you should be good to go.
