Britain is currently home to a slew of heavy and genuinely exciting bands. Funeral For A Friend, Pitchshifter, Skindred.....the list goes on. Blistering metal quarter Losing Sun are the latest to create a buzz.

They released their debut album "Inertia" in April 2005 and are now set to release their new album "Perspective." Many people have said that their last album "Inertia" wasn't too good -

"Losing Sun - Inertia
"Losing Sun release 'Inertia', a collection of blistering soundbites chronicling the band’ debut album, settling on a final eighth lineup change. Naturally this would give them time to hone a consonant live parade which has seen them play alongside noteworthy metal acts such as Kiiling Joke, Il Nino and Sepultura. However, having a reputation that precedes you can be a harder act to follow than any, are Losing Sun the answer to Killswitch Engage? Losing Sun have decided to focus more on how to create the killer metal riff. A perfect example of this is album opener ‘Dirtnap’, which may seem at first like metal by the numbers. You are quickly made to look the ignorant fool when the sound finishes churning and starts rolling into a spacey sound, satisfying the whole palate without offending the ears by compressing too big a sound."

so let's hope new album "Perspective" is better.

The finesse and dedication has landed them shows with bands like Lostprophets, Killing Joke, Ill Nino and Sepultura. Their live shows has grown into a fiery focused display of their commitment and musical potency.

The "Inertia" album was recorded in Nott-in-pill studios with ex-skindred duo Jeff Rose and Martyn"Ginge"Ford at the production helm. It was mastered by I.N.X.S engineer Frank Arkwright. Recent recordings in Nott-in-pill studios are for the eagerly awaited New album 'Perspective' which is to be released in 2006. The project has attracted the same production and mastering team aswell as having extra input from Colin Richardson (Slipknot/Chimaira)

Losing Sun are a shotgun greeting to the rock world!
