I have been looking up this Jay Treaty and am hoping someone can help me with a few final facts. I have been offered a temporary job in the United States and I am half Canadian Native Indian. I have a Quantum letter to prove my blood is 50%. I am also applying to get my long-form birth certificate and hoping I can get that relatively quickly. I understand that I will then need to apply for a Social Security Card.
Do I have to go to the states to apply for this card in person? I tried to find an office in Toronto but all info keeps directing me to Niagara Falls, New York!
Also, will I get this card the same day if I wait? Or do they mail it?
And lastly, is that all I need to work? The Jay Treaty stipulates I do not require a green card but do I require any other visas??
Thank you for any info anyone may have!!!
