When 1972-1985, skipping 2 years). A total of 69 episodes produced. The series spun off into an Australian version of Are You Being Served?, which ran for 2 seasons, Are You Being Served? The Movie, a couple of stage productions, songs, a few books about the series and the people behind it and even an attempt at an American version of the show! (But seriously, do you think anyone other than the originals can recreate such magic?). In the 90s, several original cast members reunited for Are You Being Served? Again (AYBS?A or Grace and Favour in the U.K.) which for the first time, took them out of Grace Brothers and put them to work as the staff of a quaint bed and breakfast in the English countryside. AYBS?A ran for 3 seasons.

This is one of my all time favurite programmes ever. I still watch it with as much delight as I did back in "the day". Seemingly stupid on the surface, the level of writting and satire was superb!

That would be "keeping up appearences" - with the Bucket (pronounced...buq-eh....supposedly)

and it was Mr Wilberforce Clayborne Humphries (full name) who is the psuedo-gay one, although he actually wasnt.

all frightfully boring compared to the exploites of Del & Rodney Trotter I'm afraid

(And Gilbert, I'm not stupid, I realise it's easier to get british TVin Britain as opposed to Canada, but consistantly for 25 years this show has pulled in million, sheer millions, always top of the viewing figures and quite simply the biggest brit com in history, this is why I fail to understand why it's not got more over the pond).
