Former Royal Marine Paul Doyle, 54, has been sentenced to 21.5 years in prison for injuring football fans whilst driving.
Doyle deliberately ran into Liverpool fans on 26th May this year as they celebrated their team winning a record 20th English league title.
Paul Doyle, 54, travelled into the city centre from his home in Croxteth, Liverpool, to collect friends at the parade when he "lost his temper" and drove his Ford Galaxy directly into supporters making their way home from the celebrations. Dashcam footage from the vehicle showed fans being thrown onto the bonnet of the car or falling underneath as he accelerated down Water Street, which had been closed to traffic.
His victims ranged from the ages of 6 months to 79 years.
Doyle was only stopped when a former British soldier jumped into the car and disabled him.
