The thread and photos are excellent Bill, thanks! Nice to hear about the Rockfish and Lings, last i heard Howe sound was dead due mostly to that old Brittania gold mine and the creek.

The mine tailings and ground water issues were solved by the generous application of 2010 Winter Olympics money-you can now stand on the pier @ Porteau Cove and see all kinds of life swimming around including the rebounding Herring stocks.
