Kyocera 7135 Users?

Anyone use one of these babies?

I was going to buy one a year ago, but at that time only Bell was carrying them and they were $700 or something ridiculous. So, I went with the Hiptop from Fido.

Well, the Hiptop is a year old now and starting to get rather clunky. Fido has totally failed to announce whether they're going to carry the new Hiptop2 or not, so I have to move on.

I revisited the Kyocera 7135 because now Telus carries it and I can get a better deal from Telus. The phone's getting old now, but I love the form factor so I'm rather hooked on it.

I've read all the user reviews I can find on the phone and other than fatal errors (which is a common wireless Palm thing, unfortunately), it seems pretty decent. However, I've never seen one operating - never seen anyone with one. This isn't that unusual because I'm a total gadget geek and I always have stuff no one else has (or wants, usually!), but I'd like to hear from anyone who has any experience with this model.

Thanks!

I heard the other day that there's a recall on one of the Kyrocera phones. I'm not sure which one, but it's worth checking.

You're right, it is Kyocera that issued a recall but it's the batteries for their 'slider' phones. Nothing to do with the 7135, thank God.

The 7135 is a couple of years old now, so it's pretty stable.

Man I can't wait to get one after humping this clunky Hiptop around for a year :)
