Mine and my partners is pretty bang on when I read through it...

Virgo + Taurus

Earth + Earth = Solid Ground

Both Virgo and Taurus are practical, earthy signs — it’s a great start to have compatibility between your elements. When you combine earth with earth you get a solid grounding for a relationship. You will complement each other on many levels – physically, emotionally and mentally.

For a start, you’re fully aware of the financial, practical and security needs of Taurus; they are much like your own. A need for material security is something you have in common. You will both feel comfortable knowing that your heads are in the same place where money matters are concerned. Your financial prospects together are good.

Taurus might be a little shocked by your fastidious approach — they are diligent too, but they rank second to you in the perfectionism stakes. Also, your highly strung nature will tire them out, even though you probably agree on most things. You have to understand that Taurus is black and white, where you are into shades of grey.

You will love to talk endlessly with Taurus, but they will quietly and assertively let you know that they need time out sometimes. This could frustrate you, because you don’t tire easily, and you like to keep your brain going constantly. You could also feel insulted if Taurus isn’t motivated enough to hang in there with you in discussions of complicated topics.

However, you may find common interests in areas such as art, fashion, music and perhaps even cooking; these might counter your intellectual differences. Also, Taurus is one of the few star signs that can relax you.

Virgo has a strong link with romantic affairs for Taurus, so there’s definitely a good physical connection between you. This is a combination you should consider, because there’s every chance that it will be successful, despite minor differences.

You can expect exciting times and amorous adventures with Taureans born between 20 April and 29 April. The planet Venus, the love goddess, will offer you loads of love and affection. The two of you can develop a mature and rewarding partnership over time.

You might also enjoy spending time with Taureans born between 30 April and 10 May. Mercury is a common thread between you, and brings out the best qualities of both of you. You have a sense of warmth and closeness with them.

Your relationships with Taureans whose birthdays fall between 11 May and 21 May may lack something. They are born with the influence of Saturn, and because of that, a relationship with them may ultimately not fulfil you. Things could get a little too heavy between you.

That is awesome! You guys must be like twin souls...

Aquarius + Aquarius - Air + Air = Wind

Aquarius is the sign seen as ruling the New Age. Anything modern, electrical or technological is associated with it. You pride yourself on the fact that you’re always in touch with whatever is modern. Two Aquarians coming together will redefine what ‘relationship’ means.

Aquarius plus Aquarius gives a double air element, which means a lot of turbulence–gale force winds! When you come together, you don’t create a revolutionary uprising in the usual sense. But you can be sure that your energies will produce something unique; when you walk into a room, people will feel that energy and sense your difference. You’ll set yourselves apart from your peer group.

You both crave excitement, change, the unusual, even the bizarre. In extreme cases your relationship will produce such wacky behaviour that others won't know quite what to make of you. But your behaviour is only for shock value. You’ll play this up, dramatising the relationship for the sake of making a huge impression on the world around you.

This may be fun, but you will need to settle down and sort out what motivates you as a couple.

Try not to let your relationship become too self-centred; after all, you do both have a compassionate side. You could find yourselves very busy sorting out the world and satisfying your own individual desires, so make sure you put enough time into fulfilling each other’s needs. This is essential if you want a permanent committed relationship.

Once you address this issue you can move forward as a couple. You will get lots of love and support from each other in your individual endeavours as well.

The bedroom is a great place for your exciting antics, unique ideas and emotional colours. This combination will offer you many exceptional experiences. Expect loads of fun and lots of way-beyond-the-ordinary activities.

If you’re looking for equilibrium and permanence, try to team up with Aquarians born between 21 January and 30 January. These are your best match: they are the strongest Aquarians.

Aquarians born between 31 January and 8 February should avoid getting together with each other. The co-rulership of Virgo will produce a flighty, unstable combination which could frazzle your nerves. It doesn't produce great long-term benefits for either of you.

Aquarians born between 9 February and 18 February have the touch of Venus at birth. Love is their second name, and they can bring you great happiness romantically. This combination will not only fulfil you; it will also give you the excitement you’re always looking for.

Im born on April 20th. It seems to be a cusp date as on some it is listed as a TAURUS, and on others as an ARIES. What is the right one?

Your star signs are both Aries and Taurus

In astrological terms, you were born on a cusp (on or around the changeover from one Sun sign to the next). You probably have traits of both signs.

I am also a cusp sign but definitely more of one sign and a little of the other sign. You have a great mix

Sounds like some of you think there's really some substance to astrology. There is none, but at least this is in Arts & Entertainment rather than Spirituality and Philosophy, or Science and Technology, where some people would have put it. Entertainment is all it's good for, at best.

I believe in astrology, tarot cards, the unknown, spiritualism, some weird & wonderful stuff to me. It's a great interest of mine.

If you don't believe then that's okay too. Not forcing you to have your star sign read (lol) ... as you were Dex

I've had a horoscope cast for me, by a poster here as part of a discussion about the utility or otherwise of astrology. He didn't get anything right.

You do realize, don't you, that the dates on the sun signs have nothing to do with where the sun actually is in the sky now, but where it was 5000 years ago? Are you familiar with the Forer Effect, confirmation bias, subjective validation, clustering illusions, communal reinforcement, confabulation, post hoc fallacies, pragmatic fallacies, regressive fallacies, selective thinking, and the myriad other ways human logic, perception, and memory go astray? They will explain what's really going on with astrology, tarot cards, and similar things.

We've had a bit of negative excitement now and then but wouldn't change any of the 25 years we've had.

Oh Dex, you truly are a party pooper ain't ya...
Not at all, just interested in discouraging belief in something demonstrably false like astrology. I was born April 30th, which makes me a Taurus, but the sun was not in Taurus when I was born, it was in Aries and still is on my birthday, as any decent astronomy program could show you. The sun moves through the signs on about a 26,000 year cycle due to a phenomenon called the precession of the equinoxes, so about every 2200 years it moves into a different sign. It hasn't been in Taurus on my birthday for over 1000 years, and won't be again for about another 23,000 years, but the sky will look quite a bit different by then because the stars are also moving.

The sun doesn't really move through the signs, it's just our perspective that changes, we see it from a changing position against the background of more distant stars because the earth's rotational axis changes its orientation with respect to the plane of its orbit. Ever seen a spinning top that isn't vertical? Not only does the top spin, its axis of rotation also rotates, tracing out an upside down cone with its point at the top's contact point with the floor or the table or whatever it's sitting on, while the other end of the axis goes in a circle. That's precession, and the earth's axis of rotation does the same thing. Now, isn't that more interesting than invented claptrap about what Taureans are supposed to like?

And no, I do not whiz on campfires. I sit around them with a guitar on my knee and sing dirty songs for the amusement of others.

Interesting, definitely. More interesting? hmmmm Interesting in a different way, would be what I would describe it being.

No wonder Les thinks a few beers together would be cool. Woooot!
