The United States has invited Britain's King Charles III and Queen Camilla for a State Visit - and Their Majesties have accepted the invitation.
The British Head of State and his wife are to partake in the State Visit in the year the US celebrates 250 years of independence and the State Visit will go ahead later this month.
250 years on the USA and Great Britain are great friends and the Americans have - despite being angry over a perceived lack of support in Iran - invited the British Monarch and Consort to a State Visit.
A message from Buckingham Palace...
“Their Majesties’ programme will celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
The King will then continue to Bermuda to undertake His Majesty’s first Royal Visit as Monarch to a British Overseas Territory.”
