Kemi Badenoch was today elected the new leader of the Conservative Party and His Majesty's Leader of the Opposition by Tory members.

The 44 year old, who was born in Wimbledon, south west London, is the MP for North West Essex and used to work at McDonald's as a teenager, received 53,806 votes in the final round to Robert Jenrick's 41,388.
