Reuters) - Talk show host Jon Stewart was crowned the most influential man of 2010 on Tuesday, heading a list of 49 men who all swayed public opinion and were described as rule-breakers to some degree in a time of recession.
Interesting that a 20 minute satirical comedy host is now considered the most influential man of 2010. I do question the accuracy of the survey, as well as the source as it was from some obscure magazine I have never heard of called Ask Men.
It seems to that this list is the equivalent of asking a teenage girl who she thinks the top 49 people are, provided the average teen girl could even come up with 49 names. I confess I am mystified as to how many of those listed could be said to have any influence on anyone at all. I also confess that I have never heard of numbers 4 to 9 on the list or numbers 16, 20, 22, 23, 27, 28,29, 31, 34, 35, 38, 41, 42, and 44. There area also many I know only by name, such as Jay Z. I actually have no idea who he is or what he does. That is a considerable amount of ignorance on my part, but I also question just how much influence people like Kanye West have on someone who cannot stand his "music."
Here is the source of the survey. And to simplify matters below that is the entire list. Have fun with it.
