NEWMARKET - A jury found Jennifer Pan guilty in the death of her mother during a home invasion-style robbery Saturday afternoon after four days of deliberations.
Pan, 28, boyfriend Daniel Wong, Lenford Crawford and David Mylvaganam each pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and attempted murder.
Pan's mother, Bich Pan, 53, was shot and killed, while her father, Hann Pan, 56, survived after suffering a gunshot wound to the face during the attack at his upscale Markham home Nov. 8, 2010.
The jury heard how Pan's mother begged the armed men to spare her beloved daughter's life and how the parents, quivering in fear, were ordered to cover their heads with blankets before the shootings.
Check back for more details.
