Jean's Tour Continues: Saskatchewan

During her term as the representative of Her Majesty the Queen of Canada, she has visited and inspired people in various Provinces and Territories — next, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., the Governor General of Canada, alongside her husband, His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond, C.C., has scheduled a visit to the Province of Saskatchewan. Her Excellency has the intention of visiting each Province and Territory before her service has reached the one-year mark.

Her Excellency the Rt. Hon. Michaëlle Jean[/color], C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D.,]When I’m in Saskatchewan, I will be meeting with agents of renewal who make things happen in the province. For example, I will listen to the First Nations about their contributions, their challenges and their hopes. I will meet with veterans and war brides who came here more than 60 years ago. I will lend my ears to street youth and learn about their efforts to raise awareness. I will also pay tribute to members of the RCMP who created a network to promote an open dialogue among the police forces of First Nations communities.

:arrow: My Opinion Re: Trip to Saskatchewan

Je suis content de voir que le Gouverneure-générale continue de visiter les provinces et les territoires du Canada; too often, our heads of government do not have the time to conduct visits to Provinces in efforts to promote culture and unity, but rather only to promote their own agendas (which is their responsibility, and to that end I would not fault them for that).
