i am spanish - european union passport holder, my wife is ukrainian with residence in spain, we want to move to canada to live, i want to buy at least one home in canada maybe in saskatchewan or manitoba, but i don,t know if i am able to buy a home and stay to live permanently if we are not canadian residents, i have heard that we could be able to stay only 6 months in a year, i can bring to canada around 350000 canadian dollars, please could somebody say to me if there is a someway to make this, i don,t want to migrate, i want to move to live and retire there, putting the rest of money in a bank, later if possible my wife and me we could look for a job, thanks a lot for your attention and waiting for an answer, greetings from spain.

If you talk to Canadian Immigration
and convince them that you are not going to be a burden on society you might have a chance. Is $350,000.00 all of your money or is that just your house money?
There are houses for less than $350,000.00 but I don't know if you would be happy with them.
Here is a link to the Multiple Listing Service. You have to tell them how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms, type of house--Rancher, two story, what kind of heating, Garage, fireplace, etc.

Hi, i know a company which can help you to immigrate or find you a job in Canada. The company is in Manitoba. You could get a workvisa for 1-3 years and could work here. You wife could get also a open work visa. Get in contact with this company. I dont know if you can just buy a house there. Its to risky. Try to get a visa bye this company www.canport.com (they speak russian, englisch nd german)

thanks a lot to everybody for the information, i could bring to canada a maximum of 450000 canadian dollars, i want to buy a home for around 150000 in manitoba, i have seen in internet decent homes for this price, even i would be able to buy a second home to rent, its good investment to buy in manitoba especially winnipeg a home like investment to rent it ?? i can demostrate perfecly to canadian inmigration authorities that my purposes are honest, only i want to live in a stable decent country nothing more, so i will see the links some of you wrote here and if no other solution i will go to winnipeg in 2 months to try to know i am able to settle in manitoba or not, do you think that with 450000 canadian dollars it,s enough to settle in man. or sask ??

maybe consider setting up a small company. Yes you can certainly buy a home and move here....but you'll eventually need a way to support yourself.
So, if you are really asking about moving, buying a home and seeking employment.. again yep you can, but not willy-nilly. You'd need to go through the proper immigration channels. My best advice is to contact the province you are thinking of moving to and Immigration Canada. A quick search on the net should bring up their websites.
ps: think about Nova Scotia, we are a great province with cheap housing. Saskatchewan and Manitoba are nice too tho.
