Have anyone used this company before?? They seem to have a good price with the same speeds as companies like Bell and Rogers. Bell just raised their prices a while ago which is why I am considering on switching.

Oh this is the website: www.3web.com

I have never had a slower high speed than this company. I was suppossed to have 5 mbps but I was averaging 670 kbps. I would stay away from this company.

You are barking up the wrong tree, 3Web does not own the local loop, Bell does. If you are only syncing at 670kbs you have a problem with either distance from CO to your home (should be less then 4.5km) or bad inside wiring or you could be missing a phone filter which causes interference.

Call 3Web and ask them to have Bell run a line test.

I don’t know, 670 kbps sounds pretty good to me. What do you download anyway? You must be downloading some pretty big files for it to make a difference. For the kind of stuff I download, it would hardly matter if it takes 1 second or 5 seconds or 10 seconds.

Unless you are downloading files of the size of gigabytes, does it really matter if it is 670 k or 5 m?

670 Kilo Bytes would be faster then his 5 megabit line is provisioned for and not to mention the PPPoE overhead which shaves off another half meg. The way he wrote it is 670 Kilo Bits Per Second which is about .65 megabit.

3Web speed issue

Your speed issue is not 3Web's doing. As previously stated in a reply, it is your loop length. This would be the case no matter who the ISP is since the line is Bell's and would not change. You need to either consider cable or take another look at your computer to eliminate any issues with your system. Don't be so quick to blame the provider.
