The Republic of Ireland has decided to allow Royal Navy warships to patrol her waters.

The small country with a tiny navy has decided to turn to her much larger next door neighbour for her maritime defence.

Ireland has also agreed to such an arrangement with France.

The country is seeking help from her two large and powerful neighbours as she is starting to feel threatened by passing Russian ships.

The Irish Navy consists of just 8 ships and the Republic of Ireland is not part of NATO.

As the Royal Navy is called upon to defend the Republic of Ireland, Royal Navy nuclear submarine HMS Anson is currently in Perth, Australia, as Britain and America are about to, from 2027, have warships off Australia's coast every year to aid that country's maritime defence...

In my opinion, Ireland should rejoin the UK, which it left in 1922.

If she's now desiring the Royal Navy to defend her own waters then she shouldn't have seceded from the Union. The Royal Navy would still have been there all along.

I think it's only a matter of time before we have a German-style reunification.
