Looks like the UN security council is making some headway on Iran. They're starting to bend/crack.
Iran is willing to allow the resumption of announced United Nations inspections of its nuclear facilities if its case is dropped by the UN Security Council, a senior Iranian official said on Saturday.
Iran is a signator of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty...surely a sign of some sort of good will on their part.
The same cannot be said for North Korea,India or Pakistan,or Israel,for that matter.
Russia and China aren't running to support a stand against Iran's nuclear program. It's a serious problem but what can you do short of an expanded theatre of war and another troublesome occupation?
I think every nation has the right to a nuclear energy program. How do you draw the line, and actually, what right does any country or group of nations have to prevent a sovereign nation from developing nuclear weapons?
I slept better at night with a controlled Soviet nuclear arsenal than I do now with the thought of Pakistan and India having the bomb. Don't get me started on North Korea.
