I remember this war and WWII every time I don't say guten morgen.
Also every time I find something like this actually funny.

It's hardly a forgotten war. Especially not with Remembrance Day coming up.

I had a great-grandfather who was gassed in WWI and had breathing difficulties for the rest of his life as a result. Maybe the same, or worse, happened to other great-grandfathers of mine.

My paternal grandfather was in both WW1 & WW2. A fluke of being just old enough to get into the first and just young enough to be in the second. He also saw the turn of 2 centuries (1898-2001). The changes in society and technology over the span of his life are incredible. He even had lunch with the queen when he turned 100. I miss him!

Of course the Great War is not forgotten. It's a dramatic and provocative film title for crying out loud.

Families with veterans, veterans groups, affected and grateful nations will see to that.
