Polka band! ha, that would be fun, though. Small wedding, about 50 people and 17 kids of all ages, taking place at a friend's home by the water, emphasis on lots of good food (seafood smorgasbord) and good fun. Boating, swimming, water skiing, so on... treasure hunt for the kids. Morning ceremony, low key, not a lot of fuss but nice. Bagpiper, of course.

Sounds great!

Your description reminds me of Horseshoe Bay...

Just beautiful...

!! You know Horseshoe Bay? I grew up in West Vancouver (Dundarave), and here's an interesting but terribly sad story, moan. My grandparents owned al the land that now belongs to the BC Ferry Corp.. When they died, my dad and his sisters decided to hell with it, and sold it for a song. in one quick mistake, they took away the money I needed to buy that neutron bomb....

If you haven't done so before, take the lower road to Horseshoe Bay next time instead of the upper levels. You're in for a treat!

Oh, you're just saying that because you've never seen the correction line by my uncle's place. Nothing but wheat and a bit of scrub bush in the ditch, but it's a corner damn it. A long, banked corner that you can negotiate at 80 miles an hour even when the gravel is new and loose and you're in a rusted out Ford with 3 bald bias plies and one newish radial, but it's about the most welcome thing you can experience on that road...a chance to remember what that big wheel in front of you is for.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ;)

That sounds like one whole big helluva lot of fun!
