Yes you heard it.
With the vibrant and most welcome return of John Stewart back last week, he has decided unleash a massive storm on the Neo Conservative activities by doing a week long expose on the battle of evolution versus creationism (Intelligent Design for the more intelligent backers of this movement).
Monday night led off with a brief but hilarious recap of the history of creationism and its reign till the mid 1800's when Charles Darwin introduced a theory known as evolution.
Cut to Ed Helms where he is in Dayton, Tenn (I think that was the city and state, correct me if I am wrong). A town famous for the legal quashing of the teachings of Evolution in the 1920s. Meet some of the townsfolk who I think missed the whole "We have moved on to the Intelligent Design strategy session."
Ending the night is an author (Forgot his name). Whose book "The Republican war on Science" is a highly critical look at the increased intensity that the extreme rightwing (both Corporate and Religious) has attacked the scientific community on key issues of evolution and global warming.
There was also a brief interlude for "Meet the Little F**kers". Where John attacks the Louisiana's Senator for her three day flip flop on playing then blame game and not playing. While the mayor of New Orleans sat in sombre ignorance as he didn't bother addressing the issue at all.
