RE: Holiday election may

It takes about twenty minutes to vote. We have so much media that staying informed is not a real issue. The only real issue as far as voters are directly involved is the possibility of weather keeping them from voting.

The press has pretty much dropped the x-mas thing as a story because it isn't really important to voters. It is having an effect on the political parties though.

How hard is it to walk a few blocks, take the bus or subway or drive to a polling station and mark an X beside your candidate's name and put it in a box?

Apparently for Canadians, this is a hard thing to do if it's the holidays, or if it's in the spring time....

We should have manditory voting laws. We always talk about the government being accountable, well how about the citizens take some responsibility and accountability with respect to their nation.

I mean we have about 60% of the eligible voters casting ballots, but 100% of them complaining.

In my opinion, voting gives me a right to complain. Folk who don't take those twenty minutes, should be forced to sit there and shut up.

We watch on the news how people react when they first have the chance to vote, and how happy they are about having that right, but then you get millions of people here in Canada who could care less. It is deplorable!
