Heather Mills McCartney, the wife of Sir Paul McCartney - who was the lead singer of The Beatles - has said in a document that the Beatles frontman abused and hit her.
The married couple are currently going through a divorce - and I wouldn't believe everything that the idiot Heather Mills McCartney says.
Macca accused of 'mistreatment'
Sir Paul and Heather Mills McCartney in happier times
The multi-million pound divorce battle between Sir Paul McCartney and his wife has taken a new twist with the emergence of allegations that he mistreated her.
A leaked document, which purports to be a legal response by Heather Mills McCartney, sets out a catalogue of accusations against Sir Paul.
The former model, 38, who lost a leg in a road accident in 1993, made no reference to the allegations when she appeared on BBC1's City Hospital to talk about a new pain management treatment.
Mishcon de Reya, the law firm representing her in the divorce, said they did not comment on "leaked or allegedly leaked documents".
A spokesman for the firm, which also represented Diana, Princess of Wales in her divorce from Prince Charles, added: "We can however confirm that Lady Heather Mills McCartney stands by everything that has been filed at court on her behalf and intends to prove its truth in due course should this be necessary.
"We would ask that the parties' privacy during what is a difficult and emotional time be respected."
A spokesman for Sir Paul, 64, made no immediate comment on the allegations.
The couple, who had a daughter Beatrice in 2003, announced their separation in May this year after four years of marriage.
Relations between the pair appear to have grown increasingly hostile since then.
The document, apparently produced by Heather's lawyers, was leaked to the media. It details a catalogue of allegations about Sir Paul's behaviour towards his second wife between 2002 and 2006.
Heather's spokesman Phil Hall said she was "shocked" to see the allegations published.
"I spoke to her this morning and she was shocked that it was out there first and foremost," he said.
"In the last five or six months she has been for a revision amputation operation, she has been very unwell and weak, she lost her voice.
"In the last three or four weeks she has been coming through that, she is looking a lot better and stronger, and then something like this happens."
He added: "She has kept a dignified silence. She has not spoken about anything and that's still her view. She won't speak about anything."
Mr Hall described the divorce proceedings as "highly confidential" and said he could not confirm whether the document was genuine.
