Ooo, this is really unnerving. My husband pointed it out, actually. Stephen Harper has the same cold dead eyes as Karla Homolka, it is really amazing to see. I tried to post a picture of the two of them, but for some reason the old ImageShack thing no longer works on this forum, 'cause, well, it didn't work. Still, just google Homolka images and Harper images, the similarity is uncanny.

How would Holmoka's eyes have any bearing on Harpers eyes ? Response was " creepy ". And are you saying that Nicholson isn't a great actor ?

The eyes are the windows to the soul. Harper has the soul of a psychopathic serial killer. Not really surprising, but interesting. It explains the way he killed that chair at the convention too. Poor little chair never did nothin' to nobody...it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And are you saying that Nicholson isn't a great actor ?

Not in The Shining he wasn't. He was great in just about every other movie he's been in, but The Shining?

The worst part would be the overlap where Bush was president and Harper was PM. Harper hates Democrats as much as any other neo-con Republican.

It won't happen though. He's dying in the polls. He's even or behind nationally and they have him way down in Ontario where the seats are. The worst of Gomery is over the Liberals and something has been goin their way way there this week...the Liberals are trying to get the latest publication ban lifted (funny how that testimony isn't showing up on a Republican blog). Even a resurgence at the polls would give the Conservatives a minority at this point. A minority leaves them with less influence than they have now. It's beautiful.

If that happened one could just go ahead and kiss Canada, as we know her, goodbye. Fortunately, the rest of your post sounds much better. I hope you're right, I hope the bugger is going down in flames.

It can all change...it's likely two months to election day. I don't think it will though. Harper has been their leader for a long time and people just do not want to vote for him.

'Cause he's creepy. That really is the bottom line, too. He looks creepy, he acts creepy, he talks creepy... and as the old saying goes, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, why, it's probably a duck.

What is it with that party, they really attract the weird ones lately, first Stockwell Day now Stephen Harper.

I was thinking that when he loses the election and the Conservatives fire him, maybe Stevie can get a job shagging golf balls for Bush.

Naw, that's Jeans job, he supposedly knows all about balls, golf and otherwise, and likes golf courses, bankers, etc. Now you compare Harper with Homolka. Given the poll today, I guess you must be getting desparate. Yet, some got upset about the Liberano poster, or calling the Liberals by their true nam, the LIeberals? What hypocrisy.

Umm, all I did was say they have the very same eyes, same cold dead look in the eyes. How is that desperate? And what on earth does it have to do with the polls?

Sounds like a comparison to me, and your desparation comes from the most recent poll that shows the Conservatives in front of the Liberals again nationally, and in every place but the GTA and the maritimes, way ahead.

Conservatives dont look ahead to me.

Read the National Post, todays edition: Nationally Conservatives 36%, Liberals 31%. Some regions:

Maritimes: 47% Liberals
GST: 48% Liberals
Prairies: 61% Conservatives

Basically, outside of the Maritimes and the GTA, the rest of the country supports the Conservatives far more than the Liberals.

Conservatives look ahead to me.

The National Post? Oh please.

By the way... do you remember the polls for the American election? Funny, they all showed Kerry ahead.

Canadians will never elect someone like Harper. He is so completely alien to what Canada is all about.
