It's so embarassing for Canada to have an undeveloped adolescent child as the principle spokesperson at an international summit. Harper has managed to undermine Canadian committment to addressing global climate change....because he doesn't want his allowance cut by his idol in Washington....
This child-buffoon flits off to Afghanistan for a photo-op with the troops...while his own defence minister is dodging bobbing and weaving about Canadian policy regarding prisoners of war and torture...and nobody has told poor little Stevey that Canada isn't at war but has pitched its tent with the petroleum and energy moguls and nabobs that keep the Alberta oil-patch humming along....
I can't envision Stephen Harper as someone who'd have stood up against the pressure and wouldn't have bought into the lies of the Bush Whitehouse...and gotten Canada involved in the biggest hoax in human history...invading a nation to protect the world from a stockpile of WMDs...that didn't and in all likelihood never existed.... Harper's "vision" isn't all that great....
Canadians are in just as much trouble with our government...corruption...Air India...RCMP....domestic policies regarding aboriginal land settlements....commodification of natural resources to appease the appetites for profit in America...as the people of the United States are in trouble with a moron that has difficulty putting a coherent line of thought together regarding much of anything...including a corrupt and ineffective Attorney General...a failed foreign policy and continues to beat the drums of war with Iran and now seems prepared to re-energize the Cold War...never mind having given a green light to Exxon and every other petro-junkie pal of the Bush family to ignore global warming....
It is a curious time in North America and we have to keep our spirits up by celebrating the fact that we have the most curious if not preposterous leadership stuffing Canada down the toilet to keep their wallets padded....
