What do you think? its not rocket science, first the liberals, nix the childern commission, dump all the files on the coroner. But wait 8O they cut the coroner's budget, over half a million ( whose gonna pay da pension plans)...but wait there is more...the coroner still had to do da same job, with less money, and more responsibilites. Talk about a set up!

What the feck is this?? Stan hagen is suppose to be the minister of childern and family development, and it does not even cross his mind as to where these reports are  , you gots to be kidding, complete and utter incompetence, in the real world his ass would be kicked to the curb, instead of oink oink pension.

Liar lair pants on fire  Looks like campbell and his ilk were lying, nothing new about that. It seems that they were informed by the provincial obudsman that these cases were not being looked at.

A former B.C. ombudsman says she tried to warn Premier Gordon Campbell as recently as May of this year that child deaths were not being properly reviewed.

There isn't much that will comfort the families of these children, Peapod. Recognising the base problem so that it can be fixed can keep it from happening again though.

I wionder if Campbell has a scapegoat lined up to take the fall?

In a perfect world since Campbell is the premeir he should bear full responsibility. He should of resigned as should of Stan Hagen.

The RCMP should be called in to investigate this mess and lay criminal charges (involountary manslaughter) against the people responsible, if they can prove it was due to incompetance.

Blunt admission of failure by B.C. government
Last updated Dec 14 2005 12:20 PM PST
CBC News
Solicitor General John Les says the transition plan for the child protection system was a failure after the government shut down the B.C. Children's Commission in 2002.

Les says that because of budget constraints, the coroner's office could not adequately carry out its new responsibilities. And he admits failure at every level.
