Duh. Boomers generally didn't face the issues that forced GenXers to live with their parents. My dad is a boomer. With his high school education he was able to secure a stable full time job he stayed in until he retired. That job was enough to provide for our family of four without my mother ever needing to get a paying job.
I suppose I'm a gen Xer and while I haven't moved back with my parents or ever needed to, I can see how it could happen. I'm at a different place at my age than they were. I had to get a university degree to get my job and that meant debt despite working throughout school. I have worked for several different employers and moved around a fair bit. I could never afford to buy my own home where I live. I just paid off my student loans this past winter. I'm single. My parents at this age were already married, owned a home and had one child. It's a different world.
