Stephan Harper will ruin Canada.

I actively watch whats goin on in the house of commons and i've seen how many times Stephen Harper has come accross as a mentally delayed child. I can't believe the support my fellow country men are giving him and the conservative party. I urge all supporters to sit down and watch him, listen to what hes saying. If he wins Canada will fall apart, i fear for our country.

I was a supporter of the liberals under jean. Now that hes gone i have reccently switched over to the NDP who show great promise. Jack would make a great prime minister and lead canada into the future.

I urge all of you to vote for ANYONE but Stephen Harper.

Harper = Bush
Martin = Kerry
Layton = Nader

Others are the Greens, Canadian Action Party and gasp (for americans) the Communists!

Greens are very much like the European model of the same name. CAP is pro-sovereignty and pro-fair trade vs 'free trade'.
CAP also for monetary reform and governmental reform - ie - pro-rep-gov and elected Senate.

Also, for Québec only...

You either Vote;

Liberal - Paul Martin (Current Prime Minister)

Bloc Québécois - Gille Duccepe

The Blooc represents Québécois intrest in Parlement, and are also sepratists. They usually get at least half the seats in Québec. This year, they are aiming for a majority of seats here.

Damn Seperatists.

The way i see things if you dont like Canada, get the hell out!. If Quebec wants to seperate fine, let them but Canada will keep some of Quebec so we still have a path to the rest of the provinces.

Theres no way Quebec would survive without Canada, and if you think Canada will still keep close ties after you seperate, think again. I see either two things happening, Quebec would become another US state or join up with France.

Joining up with france, is a closely considered option. And no, Canada would not have any part of Québec. If a referendum is won, then we negotiate to leave the way québec is. And also, the association would be economical only. And this is something more to the advantage of you, then us.

We don't like Canadian Federalism. And this is our land, not yours. My ancesters colonised this place 400 years ago. British citizens only arrived in these lands in 1770. So we have the right to complain, or ask for our independance.

Hrmmm, I really think we need a thread dedicated to Quebec separatism. So many thread go off topic when talking about something else, turns into Quebec separation. By all means, post your opinions... but let's do it in topic-oriented threads.

Numure, do you want me to split:

Many canadians are going to ask for billions of dollars back. Is quebec prepared or able to pay it back?

Ahem, Split it where you said :).

And mister guest (could you please register?), expect billion back for what? We should be the ones asking for billions back if we seperate (though we most likely won't).

No way Harper will be the next Prime Minister. I agree wuth the post above:

Harper=Bush
Martin=Kerry
Layden=Nader

Some other party will have to beat them. I can't tell which one yet but I don't want to have a Bush-like ruling my country.

I'm quite sure the Bloc will pull off official opposition. The new annoucement by Martin for new funding in health care will most likely back fire on him here. Why? Cause he is going to tell the provinces what to do with it. Provincial powers here are valued by the people. If the federal goverment tells the Provincial goverment how to spend in its own juristiction, expect public backlash(sp?). Though the money is more then welcomed, don't attach strings to it.
