Dr. J. A. Wiborn, a Tyee Club founder, with guide Herbert Pidcock and catch 'Tyee' season ends today in Campbell River. At least I landed a good yarn.

The time has all but run out for this year, but there are still plenty of fishermen (anglers!) who perhaps haven't yet encountered the feisty big chinook salmon of more than 30 pounds that this on-line publication is so rightly named after.

I like the pinks, good action on light line. Of course using lite line almost bit me in the ass a few years ago down in Richmond. I caught a 6 pound cuthroat trout and it broke the line for some reaon but I was quick and caught the line before it went into water and pulled it in by hand. Then released it after I showed it off to everyone else on the dock.
