HELSINKI — A Finnish tech startup hopes to produce protein out of thin air and not much more, creating a plant-based product they can put into healthy drinks and yogurts or even turn into a meatless schnitzel, the company said.
Solar Foods has received nearly 25 million euros ($37 million) in government and private funding to commercialize the product called Solein, a yellow flour-type ingredient containing some 65% protein manufactured in a miniature bioreactor inside a laboratory.

The flour is ground from a liquid microorganism that is made out of carbon dioxide from air, electricity, water, microbes and nutrients.
However, the company faces challenges, said Reetta Kivela, a professor of practice for food innovations at the University of Helsinki.

To make Solein a success, Kivela said, the company needed to make production run on renewable energy, find a sustainable way to produce nitrogen and make the flour more appealing than some other vegetable proteins that often have a grainy texture and can taste bitter.

Solar Foods Chief Executive Pasi Vainikka said that even though Solein used ammonia produced with fossil energy, it already produced significantly less emissions than meat production. The company is also planning to shift to green ammonia or even produce it at its own factory.

In December, the company added 4.3 million euros from the Finnish government to funding earlier raised from private investment companies and Finnish baker and candy maker Fazer to commercialize Solein.
Preparing to scale up manufacturing with a small demo factory, Solar Foods aims to introduce the product to the market in early 2023 and is applying for novel food approval globally, Vainikka told Reuters.

Easier and cheaper just to kill an animal.
Indeed, I love to eat real meat. I heard that Bill Gates has been buying up plenty of farmland in America. I heard that it is his plan to bring an end to the beef farming industry by trying to buy as much farming land as he possibly can and to start to get we the people to start eating his plant like beef shit? Apparently, he has put a lot of his money into his anti-meat agenda. If we thought that a nice steak was expensive today just wait until beef gets harder to find and buy after Billy Bob Gates starts to eliminate beef off the shelves. This bastard is one mean sick pathetic excuse for him being called human. This guy has to be one dangerous alien from outer space. because he certainly does not act like a human. Just saying.

Bill Gates is probably the world's second biggest landowner after the Queen.

The reason why he's faked coronavirus and given us all government injectables is so that we automatically do whatever he wants us to do.

I will bet that while you and me and thee are going to be forced to eat his plants crap burgers Gates to hell and his deep state globalist World Economic Forum ilk will be eating the best steak money can buy. There will be a nice juicy expensive steak for the globalists and a boring plant based hamburger for the rest of humanity. When will people ever learn as to what the hell is going on. Phuk only knows. :(
