Yes, I know. It's kind of interesting. Your racism is so deep and so intense that it causes you to accept having a Scots Bond, a Welsh Bond, even an Irish Bond (!), so long as he's white.
I don't know. Maybe it's a good thing that your mewling, pants-pissing terror of blacks actually causes you to re-think your blind hatred and contempt for the Scots, Welsh, and Irish. Baby steps, I suppose.
There's nothing racist about it. James Bond is a white man. Therefore, the most appropriate - well, the ONLY appropriate - person to play James Bond is a white man.
You remind me of those PC loonies who now run the RSC who often inist on having Hamlet - a Scandinavian prince - played by a black fella.
The French might take some convincing..
They're still wrong, though.
The French are like the Scots - they have an ingrained inferiority complex and envy of the far superior and more successful English and feel it is their duty to blame eveything on the English - even well it is their fault.
The earlier Edwards of the Plantagenet line were particularly notorious, beginning with Edward I, with his ruthless suppression of Scots independence and national aspirations.
What Scottish nationalists won't tell you is that Edward's invasion of Scotland (helped along with his Irish allies) was entirely justified.
You see, Scotland's King Alexander III died in 1286 after falling from his horse. The heir was Alexander's granddaughter Margaret, Maid of Norway, who died on the voyage to Scotland. But with Scotland being a backward land, the lords argued over each other for the throne, threatening civil war. So the Scots called upon the much more civilised English to resolve the dispute and invited Edward I to arbitrate. A council led by Edward chose John Balliol as king in 1292. Not unreasonably, Edward demanded in return homage to be paid towards himself, legal authority over the Scottish King in any disputes brought against him by his own subjects, contribution towards the costs for the defence of England, and military support was expected in his war against France. However, the Scots, being the ungrateful bastards they have always been, didn't want any of this and Balliol even went on to agree a treaty of mutual assistance with the French against Edward I - the very man who had made Balliol king. Naturally, and rather blamelessly, Edward was outraged by Balliol's ingratitude, hence he and his Irish allies invaded Scotland which, hundreds of years later, spawned the movie known as Braveheart, which depicted the Scots as poor put-upon innocents and the English as heartless, evil bastards, even though the truth is very different.
