Sir Bobby Charlton holding the World Cup trophy aloft in 1966
Sir Bobby Charlton, Manchester United and England legend - a key member of England's 1966 World Cup winning team - died today at the age of 86.
Sir Bobby was one of the survivors of the 1958 Munich Air Disaster which killed 23 people, including 8 Manchester United players and 3 Manchester United staff.
In later years, Sir Bobby became involved in anti-landmine campaigning.
Sir Bobby's death means that Sir Geoff Hurst is now the only England player who started the 1966 World Cup Final against West Germany who is still alive.
