Enemy destroy all in their path
Keep your Enemy closer ... band storms the charts, their debut album at No1

BRILLIANT Coventry band THE ENEMY deservedly stormed to No1 yesterday with their debut album We’ll Live And Die In These Towns.
The band — TOM CLARKE, LIAM WATTS and ANDY HOPKINS — blew away the opposition on their march to the top spot, flogging an impressive 15,000 more copies than nearest rivals INTERPOL.
And the success means so much to frontman Tom, a football fan, that he wouldn’t even swap the honour for his beloved Coventry City getting a place in the Premiership next season.
He told me: “We’re so proud to be the first Coventry band to get to No1 in the album charts. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I’m going to celebrate with a few beers but we can’t go absolutely mental because we’ve got to get a flight early in the morning.”
That’s a sensible head on young shoulders.
He shouldn’t worry about missing out on a big night, though — there are plenty more to come for these boys.
You’ve done yourselves and your home town proud, lads.
