The lockdown should be continued to the end of March & then take a second look at it for the new fiscal year. Meanwhile maybe we can stop killing a few people.
Please post any evidence to back up your claim, I assume you are all about trusting the science, let's see the science.
Your verbiage of 'killing' is disgusting, making anyone who dares to point out the other side a murderer.

Here is some actual facts and data that prove we are on the beach looking at the dancing monkeys on the hotel balconies
while a tsunami of pain and death is just offshore and coming fast.

You are the problem, not us, the blood is on your hands, we are the ones who care about people.
We care so much that we spend massive amounts of time reading and researching, whilst you and your ilk do nothing but wait for the next talking points.

Below are 22 actual scientific studies that prove lockdowns don't work and are harmful,
irrefutable proof that anyone who is intellectually honest will have to admit they were wrong about lockdowns.
This not a grey-area, you either side with massive cumulative economic, physical and mental hardships,
or you prove you care about humanity and join the closest peaceful assembly and demand an immediate end.

A United Nations report in April warned that economic hardship generated by the radical interruptions of commerce could result in hundreds of thousands of additional child deaths in 2020. The report further warned that 42 million to 66 million children could fall into extreme poverty as a result of the crisis.

Even The Atlantic had to admit, “When you ask them to stay home, in many cases you’re asking them to starve.”

And in the UK, The Telegraphsays, “The absurd demand that developing countries adopt economically disastrous lockdowns is driving untold misery.”

(4) UNICEF warned of 1.2 million child deaths — “visits to health care centers are declining due to lockdowns, curfews and transport disruptions, and as communities remain fearful of infection.”

According to The Lancet, “During lockdown people with dementia or severe mental illness had a higher risk of excess death.” Dementia patients had a 53% greater chance of death because of lockdowns and elderly patients with severe mental illness had a 123% greater chance of death

I've been telling them this for months but sheep and trained seals just keep doing what they've been programmed to do. If their government and the MSM told these people that they need to jump off a cliff to stop the spread of a disease with a 99.7% survival rate they'd do it without asking questions or stop to think about the stupidity of their actions.

I don't think posting any more evidence is necessary! Fourteen times or more every day on the T.V. news in Canada, the updated lists of all the figures are posted. Just compare those figures today with the ones shown on October 1. Talk to the families of 30 year olds who are dying. Anyway sensible people know there is no use trying to convince those in denial. A good example is the buffoon in Washington D.C. :)

So nothing will be forthcoming from you then and you lack even a tiny shred of humanity left in you to look at the facts.
Like I said, disgusting.

Interesting you say 'posting any more evidence', like your side has posted evidence previously, you have not (if so, please link).

The TV said so is reason enough for you to destroy families, lives and businesses and no amount of evidence and facts will convince you otherwise.

Did you read any of the scientific papers linked that prove you are wrong and hurting millions of people?
Your utter lack of compassion for your fellow man is very disturbing and indicative of psychopathy,
as evidenced by you not even a cursory glance at the facts.

Here are the numbers from Canada's government (here and here):
- 33 people died who were between the ages of 30-39 with 90% having 1 or more comorbidities, so that leaves about 3.3 or 0.275 per month who may have actually died from covid alone
During the first wave there were 0 deaths in those under 45 without comorbidities.

How many times can you (and others) be shown to be completely wrong and ignorant before you admit it to your selves?
Normally it is not a big deal, but in this, your idiocy and inability to do basic math is dangerous to everyone around you.

Another heart-wrenching Bell's Palsy victim from the mass human experimentation that is the modfied RNA vaccines.
Don't forget Pfizer is offering all the placebo group in their study the vaccine, that means there will not be any way to truly assess the long-term differences.

Here is the quote from the Canadian Government admitting that all vaccinated people are indeed part of an experiment
(which is forbidden under the Nuremberg Code):
One limitation of the data at this time is the lack of information on the long-term safety and efficacy of the vaccine. Link

I think you are the ignorant one. I spend an hour or so a day watching the news, I think that is enough information. Get a life & quit being a jerk! :)

They never mention that on the mainstream news, though. That's why the likes of JLM and Serryah who believe everything they see and read and hear in the MSM aren't privy to that information. They just listen to the MSM lie to them about how deadly this disease is and they just believe it all, just because the BBC said so.

Lockdown: a deadly, failed experiment

It has been a global catastrophe. We must never go down this road again.

Lockdown: a deadly, failed experiment

FRASER MYERS
ASSISTANT EDITOR

Spiked

The country this year which has been most ravaged by Covid-19 – losing a shocking 1,500 people in every million to the virus at the time of writing – is Belgium.

That might come as something of a surprise. You could be forgiven for thinking it was America, thanks to Trump’s alleged ignorance of science. Or what about Britain, which locked down ‘too late’ because of its government’s short-lived but foolish belief in freedom? Or Brazil, whose right-wing leader complained that lockdowns and masks were for ‘fags’? If not those, then surely Sweden, where there has famously been no hard lockdown at all?

But no, it’s Belgium. There’s nothing particularly unusual about Belgium’s response. Nothing that diverged significantly from the consensus. It did the same thing as everyone else around the same time as everyone else. It even garnered praise for its testing capacity.

There’s one caveat: Belgium’s unparalleled death rate might be down to how the deaths are counted. Some say Belgium is merely the ‘most honest’ country – while others have accused officials of overcounting and including all kinds of deaths not caused by Covid.

But go down the list of deaths per million and you find more places you might not expect. We should probably skip past second place, which is the microstate of San Marino, enclosed by the famously hard-hit Italy (number four in the list).

The next proper nation is Peru. Peru announced one of the earliest lockdowns in the world on 16 March – also the first in Latin America. The restrictions were some of the most stringent on the planet, enforced by the military. Masks were made mandatory in public. But by May, two months in, cases began to jump considerably. This was despite the country doing ‘everything right’ and ‘right on time’. There was some easing of the lockdown from June onwards. But social gatherings were still illegal in August, by which point 200 people were still dying per day.

Elsewhere in Latin America, Argentina experienced a similar mid-lockdown explosion in cases and deaths. Its lockdown began on 20 March and was supposed to be short and sharp. It ended up becoming the longest continuous lockdown in the world. In June, Time magazine hailed Argentina’s success in containing the virus. But not long after, cases began to surge. The deadliest day of its pandemic was on day 145 of lockdown.

Lockdowns have become central to any discussion of Covid-19. The assumption that lockdown is the only way to prevent Covid deaths has become embedded in mainstream thinking. Apparently, the only permitted questions are if we are locking down early enough, hard enough or for long enough. Lockdown has similarly become the default response to rises in cases (though sometimes these now take local rather than national form). But the conventional wisdom that more lockdown means fewer deaths simply does not hold true in the real world. There is globally no association, let alone causation, between lockdowns and Covid deaths.

And yet the harms of the policy are extreme. Developed countries have this year experienced record drops in economic output. Britain, for instance, has experienced its worst recession in 300 years (since the Great Frost of 1709, if you were wondering). The burden of this has fallen overwhelmingly on the poorest in society, while billionaires have watched their wealth multiply. In the developing world, the World Bank estimates that an additional 150million people will fall into ‘extreme poverty’.

Children have born a disproportionate brunt of the lockdowns – even though children face very minor risks from Covid and school closures are not associated with reduced transmission. Nevertheless, an estimated 1.5 billion children – 87 per cent – have been affected by school closures around the world. There is now an obscene gulf in access to education between rich and poor, between the privately and state educated, and between those with access to home learning via the internet and those without.

The effect on broader health has been similarly catastrophic. Hospital appointments, operations and screenings have been cancelled, often in cases where capacity was nowhere close to being reached. Patients took ‘stay at home’ messages far too much to heart and didn’t get serious illnesses checked out, including cancers which could have been detected and stopped. The number of Brits waiting for routine hospital treatment has risen from 1,613 to over 160,000 this year – a hundredfold increase.

In the developing world, where Covid itself has had a much lesser impact than in the West, lockdowns have disrupted an estimated 80 per cent of programmes aimed at treating tuberculosis. In 2019, TB killed 1.4million people worldwide. But this year, thanks to a 25 per cent reduction in case detections, 1.7million deaths have been projected.

One of the greatest costs – which cannot be quantified in lives lost or dollar signs – has been to freedom. And this goes deeper than the (hopefully) temporary curbs on everyday life. Our entire culture of freedom has collapsed. We now need and expect the state’s explicit permission for whatever limited activities we can do.

None of this is to say we can throw off all the restrictions tomorrow and everything will be fine. But it is striking just how little questioning there has been of either the efficacy or the harms of the defining policy of the pandemic. Even if the lockdown debate becomes academic at some point in the new year, and despite the fact that lockdown has clearly failed, there is a danger lockdown becomes the default policy for the next pandemic – if not for some other threat. And there will be another one.
We cannot let this deadly, failed experiment be repeated. 2020 must be the last year of lockdown.
