A man who murdered two women on Christmas Day has been jailed for life.
Jazwell Brown had previously pleaded guilty to killing Teohna Grant, 28, and his partner Jo Pearson, 39, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, last year - as well as two counts of attempted murder.
Detectives say the attacks were wholly unprovoked and committed while he was under the influence of crack cocaine.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin said the scenes faced by emergency services that evening were "indescribable".
Brown, 49, must serve at least 39 years before being eligible for parole, when he will be 88.
He received 38 years and 194 days for the murder of Grant, 39 years and 194 days for the murder of Pearson, 21 years for attempted murder, 18 years for attempted murder, 9 months for causing unnecessary suffering to a dog, 18 months for possessing a knife in a public place. The sentences will run concurrently.
