Do we have to view God as an entity

We are told in every major religion that it is impossible to understand God in this human form.Or from this human I like to say....

So what happens ? We use things like Him ,Entity "The" creator , Her, supreme being......
I really think any road this way leads to in the very least confusion and in the ultimate ,war over images and such.

Your correct. God may just be a scientific phenomena we have yet to discover or work out mathematically. God could very well be an "it".

A fundamental particle perhaps? The "God particle". Wouldn't that be funny

I actually think it may be so. Something set off creation from the singularity before the big bang (if the big bang theory still holds water). The first fundamental particle which upset the perfection of the singularity may in fact be god.

If there's a God, then the God is the universal rules. it's not an entiny. And it's not even material stuff. The rules keep everything going.

Nah, not that difficult. If you picture God as a loving God, then you won't have a problem understanding Him.

How can you understand something that has never been defined due to no one ever meeting the almighty one?

Why do I trust the question like answers more the I know for sure.

ah yes. That's it isn't it? The answers that leave room for further questions are the most valuable because they ask for critical thought, and require the boundaries to be constantly stretched and explored.

The "I know for sure" answers leave no room for further discovery. Rather limiting way to view such a huge concept. imo.

Exatamundo.
Maybe part of our evolutionary aspect is to question and wonder.
Once you know, it's game over, you win.But the big prize goes to the thinkers and questioners.

Thanks zan my grammer suks and you helped me out there.

How did you feel his presence? Just curious...

I know you weren't asking me, but the first time I knew it was about more than what happens here, is when my children were born. That feeling defies description. That to me, was presence. God's? Nah... something bigger than any word or concept we can apply to it.

I think we've all felt it at least a few times. Some of us just don't recognize it when it happens.

You know that feeling when all the hairs stand on end and you feel so alive and connected.....is that it?...Bob Marly wrote about in a song which I won't attepmt to quote. Ive met people that actually have no idea what i'm talking about so it is not expierenced by everyone.

DocDred, new thread? Maybe. But not now, thanks anyways.

Brief description of what happened: There is a song that I love which goes to the tune of Danny Boy. The words are:
Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise,
For it was grace that bought my falling soul,
I do not know just why He came to love me so,
For He looked beyond my faults and saw my need.

Chorus:
I shall forever look unto the hill of calvary, where Jesus died for me,
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul,
He looked beyond my faults and saw my need.

I started to sing this song in front of a baptist congregation but before I sing, I always pray the Father that He would bless whom He pleased with this song.
I then looked above their heads and pictured Jesus sitting on His throne with His surrounding angels listening to my singing, when into the first 5 words of the song, I saw a glow of light descending down from the ceiling as though it was a line from wall to wall with the light above the line and descending.
I continued to sing seeing this thing happening and really not knowing what it was.
I watched it descend down slowing and I could fell my scalp tingling, which kind of gave me a clue that it was about to be something divine.

Well, as that line of light depended below my eye level all I could see was a light that was full of love, joy, peace and indescribable desire to remain, but my vision was interrupted by the thought that I was in front of a congregation of people.
But My singing stopped because I was crying tears of joy.
I looked out into the congregation and saw tears on peoples faces as well.
Then I finished my song, and thanked God.

One can take that experience and make of it whatever anyone wants, but I will hold it as my taste of what the hereafter is like and being in the presence of God.

Since then, I stand firm in my faith in Jesus, and hope to share Him with all souls whom Jesus died for, but don't know it.
