I remember, when I was a teenager, my grandfather was diagnosed with diabetes, he had become overweight,
was a very short man, and became quite rolly polly.
Inside of a year, it was gone, sure I guess you can say it never really goes away, but with the
weight loss, and staying slimmer, he never suffered from it again, and he was the only person in
the family to be diagnosed with it, then and now, the extra weight definitely triggered it, and the
loss of weight allowed it to dissapear.
The onset of diabetes at a later age, seems much easier to control compared to a younger person, although
today they are saying with all of the 'fat' teenagers, who do nothing but eat, and watch tv, or sit at
their computers, diabetes is becoming more prominent amongst them.
