LONDON -- A child was killed and six people injured in a head-on crash south of Woodstock Saturday.
A car travelling west on Norwich Rd. lost control and entered the eastbound lane before colliding head-on with an SUV at 4:40 p.m., police said.
An 11-year-old girl from the SUV, whom police haven't identified, died in the hospital.
Both drivers, along with four passengers, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Woodstock is approximately 128 km southwest of Toronto.

LONDON, Ont. -- Mike Feyen has no idea how long he performed CRP on an 11-year-old girl he pulled from the wreckage of a deadly head-on crash.
The father of six was driving to Woodstock Ont., from his home in Norwich Twp., Ont., over the weekend when he came across the collision on Norwich Rd.
When he asked if everyone was alright, a man standing outside a damaged car said no and pointed toward an SUV in the ditch.
Feyen rushed to the vehicle, where an injured woman inside asked him to help her daughter in the back seat on the driver's side.
"She had no pulse and she wasn't breathing, so I got her out of the car and started doing CPR on her," Feyen said.
"It could have been five minutes, it could have been a half hour. It seemed like a long time, but I don't know really how long it was."
Paramedics arrived and took the girl to the hospital where she later died.
Police identified her as Abbygale Fleet of Norwich Twp.
Fleet, a student at Emily Stowe elementary school, was in the sport utility vehicle with her family, travelling east when a westbound car went out of control and collided with the SUV about 4:40 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Six other people -- four from the SUV, and two from the car -- had non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators wouldn't say if weather played a factor in the crash.
Environment Canada had issued a special weather statement for Oxford County on Saturday, warning of rain, freezing rain and show.
"We did have some precipitation in the area at the time," OPP Const. Stacey Culbert said. "It would certainly be too early to determine if in fact that played a role in the collision or not. We'll take a look at all the evidence."
For Feyen, a truck driver, it was the worst crash he's ever seen.
And with an 11-year-old of his own, Feyen said he didn't sleep Saturday night.
"It hits hard like that," he said.
