I just can't believe what i read right now, they are using fear and their friend bin laden for the election, incredible nothing can describes this stupidity

BE afraid, BE very afraid

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republicans unveiled an advertisement on Friday featuring the image and words of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and a warning to voters that "these are the stakes" in the November 7 election.
The Republican National Committee ad, first shown on its Web site and scheduled for airing on cable television early next week, also includes images of al Qaeda fighters in training and other al Qaeda leaders.
"What is yet to come will be even greater," the ad quotes bin Laden as saying, before concluding with the words: "These are the stakes. Vote November 7."
President George W. Bush's Republicans, slipping in the polls from public dissatisfaction with the Iraq war, are fighting to retain control of Congress in the election. Democrats must pick up 15 House seats and six Senate seats to win a majority in each chamber.
Republicans hope to turn the debate in the campaign's closing stages back to their traditionally strong issues of national security and the war on terrorism, although recent polls show Democrats overtaking them on that turf.
Democratic Senate campaign committee spokesman Phil Singer called the ad a "desperate" effort to spur Republican voter turnout.
The bin Laden ad recalls one of the most famous American political ads, the 1964 "Daisy" ad used by Democratic President Lyndon Johnson in his race against conservative Republican Barry Goldwater.
It featured a small girl picking a daisy and a countdown to nuclear explosion before an announcer says, "These are the stakes."

Does that mean, republican are preparing a nuclear attack on their citizen?? i guess so.

Fear is what worked for Republicans in the 2004 election. OBL is more valuable to the GOP alive than dead and that's why they allowed him to escape at Tora Bora.

Shocking bloody shocking Logic, not really. I'd be happier if Bush had Bin Laden's Head hanging from a pole at the Twin Tower's Site, yep his Extremist Islamic head hanging by his stringy filthy hair. Perhaps then the 3000 innocent souls that were murdered by Bin Laden's Soldiers could rest in peace.

Black helicopter? What are you talking about?

And no i don't support any violence, unless someone is pushed to the corner, and have no other choice than to defend himself.

Can you imagine, if you look the way bin laden is handle, it looks like he is more dangerous than russia ever wished to be, and they ask why i and many of us don't buy anything of this supposed wars on terror.

I have a serious quesion for everyone.

Why the us governement/cia founded in the first place, the taliban and alqueada?

Let's presume alqueada is behind 9-11, and so on.

wouldnt be smarter to update usa/uk/can/etc foreign policy to see what is wrong with us foreign policy, apperently doesnt work at all, instead of attacking anyone based on this war on terror?? which has been provent that it doesnt reduce islamic extremist popularity and recruiting, it is the opposite.

I don't think it's arrogance so much as it's desperation. While it seems fairly easy to fool Stephen Harper into buying the need to send Canadian kids to die in Afghanistan, many Americans are tired of paying for the Bush/Wolfowitz/Kissinger "urgent need" to devastate and invade Iraq on one front while having to admit that despite ole gunslinger Bush's posse mentality after 9/11, the "hunt" and efficacy of the great American intlligence machine hasn't gone so terribly well.

There's now four kinds of lies...

Lies....damned lies....statistics .....and Bush lies.

Bush lies are reasonably transparent though so you have to demonize bin Laden or the Taliban or anyone really just to keep the taxpayers pleased to make multi-millionaires out of Bush family friends.

As Eisenhower said many years ago: perpetual war means perpetual profits for wealthy warmongering elitists. That is Bush's motivation and it will not change as long as his wealthy puppet masters continue to profit from his wars.

Here's some proof:

10.23.2006 What's Bad for America is Good for Halliburton: Just ask the Vice President

In the same month that we lost a record number of American soldiers and Iraqi citizens lost many more, Vice President Dick Cheney told Rush Limbaugh that "if you look at the overall situation they're doing remarkably well."
Now we know that the Darth was speaking about Halliburton.
This week the Halliburton's third-quarter net income rose 22 percent with third-quarter revenue rising 19 percent to $5.8 billion.

But even more indecent was that the VP's talking point was dittoed by Halliburton officials. "Iraq was better than expected," said Jeff Tillery, analyst (who does research for Halliburton) at Pickering Energy Partners Inc. "Overall, there is nothing really to question or be skeptical about. I think the results are very good."
"Overall, there is nothing to question or be skeptical about." Dost that not soar far off the puke-ability chart?
More than glaring is that both Cheney and Tillery both believe that the "overall" situation in Iraq has not to do with American soldiers dying or Iraqi citizens losing everything or civil war exploding, but with profit..."overall."
Still think Cheney is not deeply connected with Halliburton?
"This was an exceptional quarter for Halliburton," said Dave Lesar, Halliburton's chairman, president and CEO.
Do we need any more proof that, "overall," what's good for Halliburton is, overall, bad for the rest of us?
And you thought Dick Cheney was kidding when he said, "We also have to work, though, sort of the dark side, if you will."
Or is that Halliburton's company policy.

Profits have been soaring for Halliburton. Surprisingly, profits have been soaring for pretty much all companies having to do anything with the energy business, even those that <gasp> having nothing to do with Iraq! Shocking that, with the price of oil having trippled over the past few years.
