Former constable Brian Denison, who was once a member of the service’s hate crimes unit, said he quit the force after being suspended without pay last month and told he couldn’t speak publicly about a city policy that states officers who aren’t fully vaccinated must submit to regular testing.

“I’ve been muzzled by the police service,” Denison told a downtown anti-vax rally on Saturday.

“I turned in my resignation because I could not abide by what they were doing . . . their orders are wrong, do not listen to them.”

CPS on Monday confirmed Denison is no longer employed by the police service.

Denison, who was with CPS for 22 years, called for other officers to follow his example.

“Let me be clear about the CPS — they don’t own you . . . the government doesn’t own you and can’t tell you what you put in your body,” he told the cheering crowd.

In a video he recorded while in uniform in late September, he said society’s widening exclusions of the unvaccinated was headed down a similar path taken by Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

“ Those who are vaccinated, a lot of them, look down on us that are unvaccinated . . . it’s very reminiscent of the world war Hitler was persecuting against the Jews, ” he said.

The 1933 to 1945 Nazi regime murdered six million Jews and millions of others, including homosexuals, Roma, leftist political opponents and Soviet POWs.

On Saturday, Denison said Canadian governments’ COVID-19 vaccination policies show “the correlations are there — what happened in history — and they’re happening again.”

Last month, a leader of the city’s Jewish community said that comparison is grossly inaccurate and offensive, but said he was willing to discuss the issue with Denison.

The ex-police officer said he’ll never accept a COVID-19 vaccine he calls experimental.

But infectious disease experts say the vaccines have been strenuously tested and been proven highly effective in preventing deaths and severe illnesses, pointing out the vast majority of fatal infections and ICU admissions are among the non-immunized.

The CPS says 93 per cent of its employees are now fully vaccinated.

Earlier this month, CPS Chief Mark Neufeld insisted there are no hard exclusions for its officers and that if the service didn’t offer free COVID-19 testing for its members, there would be staffing challenges.

He said the decision to apply for more at-home test kits from the province came from a need to safeguard front-line service levels, even though the city policy covering the Calgary Police Service required employees who weren’t fully immunized by Dec. 1 to pay for their own COVID tests.

That move angered Mayor Jyoti Gondek, who said other city workers will seek the same treatment.

The City of Calgary’s vaccination mandate required employees to declare their vaccination status by Nov. 1. If they hadn’t received two shots to protect against COVID-19 by then, they’d have to submit to regular testing with take-home kits provided by the city while going through mandatory education about the vaccines.

Dec. 1 had been the deadline for workers to prove they were fully vaccinated or start getting regular COVID tests from “ authorized vendors ” at their own expense.

OTTAWA — A Liberal MP has been censured by his party’s chief whip for defying advice not to travel out of the country unless the trip is essential.

Chief government whip Steven MacKinnon issued a statement Wednesday saying he is “profoundly disappointed” that Liberal MP Yves Robillard travelled outside Canada, in contravention of party instructions.

The whip says Liberal MPs were told to avoid non-essential international travel as the COVID-19 Omicron variant increases its grip.

The instruction mirrors government advice to members of the public to try to curb the spread of the highly contagious COVID variant.

MacKinnon said although Robillard is fully vaccinated, the MP’s trip during Parliament’s holiday break was not considered essential, and he will be removed from his duties as member of the standing committee on national defence as a result.

MacKinnon, who did not mention Robillard’s destination or reasons for travel, intends to talk to the MP about his decision to leave Canada when Parliament returns.

Robillard did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The U.S. Army have developed a vaccine that is said to be effective against all COVID and SARS variants, including Omicron.

Scientists at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) are expected to unveil the super-vaccine in a few weeks, reported Defense One .

Walter Reed’s infectious diseases branch has been working on the vaccine for almost two years, after the army received its first DNA sequencing of the coronavirus in early 2020, focusing on developing a vaccine that would work against the existing strain as well as its potential variants.

The army’s vaccine is a spike ferritin nanoparticle one, which allows it to attach to the spikes of multiple COVID variants, according to Defense One.

Dr. Kayvon Modjarrad, director of the infectious diseases branch, said the vaccine has had “positive results” in multiple trials.

“Walter Reed’s Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle COVID-19 vaccine, or SpFN, completed animal trials earlier this year with positive results,” he said.

“Phase 1 of human trials, which tested the vaccine against Omicron and the other variants, wrapped up this month, again with positive results that are undergoing final review.”

The human trials took longer than expected because the lab needed to test the vaccine on subjects who had neither been vaccinated nor previously infected with COVID — those of which were tougher to find because of the uptick in vaccination rates due to the Delta and Omicron variants.

“With Omicron, there’s no way really to escape this virus,” Modjarrad said. “You’re not going to be able to avoid it. So I think pretty soon either the whole world will be vaccinated or have been infected.”

The development could not come at a better time as early research suggests the current COVID vaccines offer less protection against the highly transmissible Omicron variant.

The army’s vaccine still requires two more trials.

“We need to evaluate it in the real-world setting and try to understand how the vaccine performs in much larger numbers of individuals who have already been vaccinated with something else initially … or already been sick,” Modjarrad explained.

Barring that, Walter Reed is working with a yet-to-be-named industry partner for its wider rollout.

“We decided to take a look at the long game rather than just only focusing on the original emergence of SARS, and instead understand that viruses mutate, there will be variants that emerge, future viruses that may emerge in terms of new species,” said Modjarrad. “Our platform and approach will equip people to be prepared for that.”

This is 1/2 the info for shock value. What are the current vaccination rates in Alberta? What percentage is fully vaccinated? What is partially vaccinated? & what percentage is not vaccinated whatsoever?

this information is necessary to understand the numbers in the quote from Ezra Levant.
I think the answer lies with the fact that the jab doesn’t work . People are starting to w are up to this . When are you ?

Does it matter 0% of vaccinated should be catching COVID to validate all the lockdowns or vax mandates

So if you knew the vaccines didn’t work why did you get jabbed ?
To boost your own immune system response to fight off a disease. An inert version of a virus as a vaccine allows your own White Blood Cells to recognize a virus (an active virus) when/if it happens and start the fight immediately instead of starting from scratch. That head start for your immune system might be the difference between feeling like you’ve had a cold (or no outward symptoms at all) and somebody arranging your funeral.

The bitch is the variants that might be just ‘different enough’ that your vaccinated immune system doesn’t recognize it, & thus the reason flu vaccinations are an annual thing instead of once a lifetime. The flu vaccination cocktail given annually is the best guess of the most virulent flus that a virologist guessed would be the predominant strains that year.

Luckily the vaccine hesitancy that we are seeing at this point in the 24/7 sensationalist news cycle when vaccinations for Polio, etc…where created where not as predominant making Polio, etc…mostly a thing of the past.

I can’t even remember what thread it was in when they were talking about Quebec and this newest variant a few days or a week back (it all runs together on me), but with the numbers presented at that time it was clear that the vaccinations were making a significant difference in who was getting sick (and assumably who is getting sicker) between the vaccinated and unvaccinated population in Quebec.
